Nils Peterson, MEd, President

As President for Teams & Leaders, Nils has focused his energies on redefining how the field of experiential-based training can support, influence and advance the work currently being done in the fields of leadership training and organizational development. As a facilitator and consultant over the past 15 years, Nils has had the opportunity to develop and deliver trainings to thousands of clients across the United States and Canada. Nils serves as adjunct faculty at Seattle University's Graduate School of Business and at Bastyr University's Doctoral Program in Naturopathic Medicine. He earned his Master of Education degree from Antioch University, Seattle, with a focus in applied behavioral science and systems thinking.


Kevin Bush, MA, Director

As director of Teams & Leaders, Kevin has focused his energies on designing, customizing and delivering trainings that enhance the leadership capacities of individuals at all levels within organizations. He believes that effective relationships are the critical building blocks of successful teams. As such, Kevin designs and delivers trainings that get to the heart of developing the skills and competencies necessary to deal effectively with difficult relationships and situations. Kevin has been working as a consultant for professional and post-graduate team development for approximately 15 years. In addition to his work with organizations, Kevin has worked as a therapist in private practice providing education and support for individuals, couples, and families. Kevin earned his Master of Arts degree from the Leadership Institute of Seattle, with a focus in applied behavioral science and systems theory.


Kristin Halberg, MBA, Consultant

As a consultant for Teams & Leaders, Kristin is concentrating her efforts on a new program offering called The Vital Leader. Her diverse leadership background includes twelve years in the fast paced and ever-changing telecommunications industry; eight years working with people in crisis at the King County Crisis Line; and five years as a high school volleyball coach. In all her roles, Kristin learns experientially, applying lessons from both successes and challenges, and believes that the key to being successful is staying agile and centered in the face of challenge and change. Kristin is a graduate of Seattle University's Executive Leadership Program, voted one of the Top 10 Executive Training Programs in Corporate Responsibility for 2008 by CRO magazine, and also received her M.B.A from Seattle University’s charter leadership-executive MBA program, which focuses on executive level global strategy and ethical leadership. Kristin believes that the key to creating a more sustainable world is listening carefully to all stakeholders, and striving to maintain a balanced and global perspective between economic, social and environmental issues. Kristin is also a certified expressive arts practitioner, an outdoor enthusiast, and enjoys pushing herself past self-imposed limitations, while encouraging others to do the same.


Hartley McGrath, Consultant

As a Teams & Leaders consultant, Hartley focuses on planning and delivering programs to MBA students. With over 20 classes a year, she works with hundreds of graduate level students in courses that cover such topics as teambuilding, leadership, conflict management, communication, and emotional intelligence. Hartley also acts as a core facilitator for Teams and Leaders corporate clients’ leadership and team building programs. Hartley has traveled extensively- twice living abroad. She brings this passion for travel and discovery to her work through coordinating our group travel and extended learning programs in other areas of the world. A highlight of this work is an intensive leadership program she delivers each year in the Italian Dolomites, a strikingly beautiful mountain range in Europe. Hartley’s consulting leads participants to gain insight and awareness into how they show up in relationships, resulting in shifts in how they present themselves to the world and positive changes to their organizations. Hartley graduated with honors and earned a Bachelor in Business Administration from Seattle University.



Dennis Elonka, MBA, Consultant
Dennis graduated from the University of Washington with and Bachelors in Business Administration and then went on to complete his Masters of Business Administration at Seattle University. He is currently working on a Masters in Applied Behavioral Science through the Leadership Institute of Seattle at Bastyr University. Dennis’ professional background is in business development and commercial real estate brokerage. In addition to these, Dennis has also consulted for several startups in the early stages of their business planning process. His main areas of focus within the organizational development field are around motivation and team processes.

Coco Hess, MBA, Consultant
Coco Hess graduated from the University of the Pacific with an undergraduate degree in Social Science and a Masters in Business Administration. Her work experience includes roles in customer care, retail sales and sales management with McCaw Cellular/AT&T Wireless Services, technology, organizational systems and change management consulting with Accenture, and program management with Microsoft. Her professional focus is the study of organizational behavior and how leadership styles are affected in various cultures / systems. Sailing is one of Coco's passions, and among many things, two of her lifetime goals include sailing around the world, and developing a leadership program delivered at sea.

Liesl Bohan, MBA, Consultant
Liesl Bohan graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. She worked for Ernst & Young and then McCaw Cellular/AT&T Wireless Services in roles including finance and accounting, international business development, project management and marketing. In addition to her corporate roles, she has provided consulting services in project management and human and organizational development. She received her Master's degree in Business Administration from Seattle University, and is currently enjoying integrating her corporate work experience into Teams & Leaders' programs.

Peter A. Koslik, Creative Director
An award-winning screenwriter, Peter brought his unique creative vision to Teams & Leaders to write The Unlikely Hero with Nils Peterson. The Unlikely Hero is an Arthurian adventure novel that explores modern leadership development in the context of Celtic mythology and the hero's journey. Teams & Leaders plans to use the novel to build and support its current coursework and to publish it for a more general audience. Peter graduated from Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven with a BA degree in English and completed both the Screenwriters' and Fiction Writers' Programs at the University of Washington. Peter's works have recently placed as semifinalists in the highly esteemed Nicholl Fellowships in Screenwriting sponsored by The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences.
